Certified General Accountants of Ontario to host information sessions for prospective students to the CGA program of professional studies

TORONTO, SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 — The Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA Ontario) will be hosting information sessions for prospective students to learn how the CGA designation can help them achieve their career goals. A team of staff members will be available at each of the free, informative sessions taking place between Monday, October 5, 2009 and Thursday, October 8, 2009 at various locations in Ontario.

These sessions inform prospective students of the CGA designation and how it will help their career, the interesting and diverse roles played by CGAs in their organizations, how post-secondary education offers them advanced standing in the CGA program, and how they can "earn while you learn."

“This is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the CGA designation and all it can bring to their career,” said Doug Brooks, FCGA, chief executive officer, CGA Ontario. “The information sessions will provide ample opportunity for those interested in becoming a certified general accountant to learn more about the designation, the work-life balance, the various positions they can hold and how they can earn while they learn on their path to becoming a certified general accountant.”
