Huronia, a Central Region Chapter, is primarily a rural chapter, established in 1985. Centering around several urban centres, including Barrie, Newmarket and Orillia, the chapter stretches from Aurora in the south, to Huntsville and Parry Sound in the north, and from Orangeville and Collingwood in the west to the eastern shore of Lake Simcoe.
Huronia Chapter comprises approximately 480 CGAs and 125 students.
Huronia CGAs boast of hard work while enjoying Ontario’s playground. Members and students are in close proximity to cottage country, camping, waterways for boating and sailing, and golf courses for every skill level in the summer. The centre of Huronia Chapter is known as the ‘snow belt’, which brings an abundance of the finest ski hills, cross country ski trails and groomed snowmobile trails in the province
Lawrence Persaud, CGA, is Huronia Chapter's 2010-11 committee chair. If you would like to learn more about the chapter or have any questions or comments, please contact us via email at: huronia@cga-ontario.org.
