Toronto Chapter is guided by the chapter's mission statement, which reads:

We are a diverse group of professional accountants with varying responsibilities and interests in business, government and the community. We exist to promote the involvement of our members in professional development, social and community activities. These activities serve to strengthen the image of the Association. We provide an ongoing identification of membership needs which enable the chapter to develop and deliver programs that satisfy the needs and wants of the membership and community. We are accountable for the management of resources in the delivery of quality programs.

Geographically, Toronto Chapter is situated within the area bounded by Scarborough (east), Etobicoke (west), Lake Ontario (south) and Aurora (north).

Nykola (Nick) Pawliwec, CGA, is Toronto Chapter's 2010-11 committee chair. If you would like to learn more about the chapter or have any questions or comments, please contact us via email at: toronto@cga-ontario.org.

Blue Veil Ministry & Sara Elizabeth Centre is looking for the volunteer services of a professional Accountant.

Blue Veil is a registered non-profit, non-denominational, community based organization that has been integrating youth and adults with developmental and/or physical challenges with their “able” peers since March 2006. Our head office is located in Etobicoke.

Blue Veil provides a number of youth programs that serve as an educational forum for students to understand the importance of staying in school but more importantly to interact with each other. We also run special programs out of Sara Elizabeth Centre for special needs youth. Our charity relies solely on program fees, in-kind donations and volunteer services. Our goal is to continue raising funds and awareness through our musical performances, fundraising events and through the selling of our original CDs. We also seek funding from foundations, corporations, private donors and government funding.  Having an accountant would greatly assist us in preparing the financial statements requested by the various government agencies.

If you are interested in volunteering your services please contact: Ms. Cris Smith, executive director, Blue Veil Ministry, at 416-747-9796 or by email at csmith8555@rogers.com.
