On Saturday, March 24, 2012, CGA Ontario and St. Lawrence College-Kingston join forces to host the 2nd annual provincial college level accounting case competition. The competition is a tremendous opportunity to test college students’ analytical and soft skills in a competitive and real-world environment.
Last year’s competition tested the keen problem-solving skills of more than 50 accounting students in a timed and judged case study at Centennial College’s Progress Campus. Approximately 18 teams of students participated in the skill-testing competition with the support of 28 faculty coaches. The student cases were judged from a real-world perspective by 11 judges from the business world, all of whom hold the CGA designation.
