I have received six referrals for U.S. taxation from CGA Ontario's accountant referral service in the last three months. Recently, I received a call from a U.S. citizen from California who plans to move to Ontario. We have spoken several times and I provided advice on what actions he should take for tax purposes in the United States before moving to Canada. He indicated that he would like to continue to use my services to prepare both his Canadian and United States tax returns after he settles in Canada . This call surprised me more than any other because this person was calling from the United States and had never been to Canada. We talked about the CGA designation and how it compared to the CPA designation. This shows me how there are no borders where the Internet is concerned; people from all over the world visit CGA Ontario's website.

Thanks to all those at CGA Ontario who develop and maintain our website. It is a wonderful resource for members as well as for the general public.
