The program will increase your knowledge and understanding of key accounting and financial theories and their application. The CGA Executive Program recognizes the experience and prior education of accomplished senior leaders in both the public and private sectors. This accelerated 18-month program combines online delivery using an advanced learning management system and in-person course work with the flexibility you need in your busy schedule.

About The Program
The CGA Executive Program delivers an inspiring and transforming experience through the combination of an online learning environment and monthly in-person retreats in Ottawa. The accelerated 18-month program consists of two nine-month sessions. Up-to-date resource materials, qualified instructors, group work, case studies and online and in-person discussion with experienced peers ensure a stimulating learning environment.

  • Focuses on further developing your competencies in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, finance, taxation and information technology.

  • Assessment is based on assignments, group work, presentations and participation.
  • Includes in-depth advanced accounting studies plus a concentration in one of corporate or government financial management.

  • Assessment is based on assignments, group work, presentations and participation.
Final program assessment is based on case work in CGA-Canada’s professional applications capstone courses: Issues in Professional Practice (PA1) and Strategic Financial Management (PA2).

Highly-qualified academics will support your learning throughout the program and ensure that final assessment competencies are effectively covered.

Eligibility The Application Process
To be eligible for the CGA Executive Program, you must have: To apply for enrolment in the CGA Executive Program, submit a completed application.

Apply by August 1, 2008 to begin in September, 2008.

The $21,000 fee includes all instruction time and course materials. The fee is payable in two installments: August, 2008 and August, 2009.

  • minimum of 10 years of substantive business experience with five years at the senior management level
An applicant’s employment history will be reviewed to ensure that the applicant has the applied experience necessary to succeed in this challenging and exciting program.
