Ottawa Chapter’s board of directors is composed of 13 voting members and two non-voting
members. Any member of the chapter who is in good standing (CGA or student) is eligible
to present him or herself for election to the board of directors. The voting members
consist of chair, three vice-chairs, secretary, treasurer, six directors and chair of the student liaison committee. The
non-voting members are the immediate past chair
and chief exam invigilator.
In addition to being the nation's capital, Ottawa is home to the world's longest
skating rink! A strong government presence, combined with the large high-tech community
located in Ottawa west , provides our members with the opportunity to demonstrate
their professional skills in government, industry or public practice.
Ottawa Chapter encompasses a large part of the Ottawa Valley and Eastern Ontario.
The chapter boundary extends from Pembroke to Perth in the west, to the Ontario-Quebec
border to the north and east, and south along the St. Lawrence Seaway to a point
just west of Prescott. Ottawa Chapter supports the professional development of its
members and promotes the certified general accountant (CGA) designation through
seminars, social activities and community works. Chapter membership consists of
approximately 2,100 CGAs and 675 students.

Denis Bourguignon, CGA, is Ottawa Chapter's 2008-09 chapter chair. If you would
