CGA Ontario’s Award for Excellence is presented to top accounting students at 13 universities and 24 colleges across the province. Recipients of the award are those graduating students who attained the highest examination results and not less than an "A" average in CGA Ontario-approved accounting subjects. Approved subjects are those qualifying under the current policies for CGA courses:

Financial Accounting: Assets FA2
Financial Accounting: Liabilities & Equities  FA3
Management Accounting Fundamentals  MA1

The award consists of a $150 cash award and a credit of $2,500, to be used towards enrolment and courses in the CGA program. Recipients are chosen and notified by the university or college awards and scholarship office, and the award is presented at the institutions award ceremony or commencement.
