In the course of carrying out his or her responsibilities on the
discipline committee, each
discipline committee member will have access to, and/or
gain knowledge about, specific information relating to CGAs and students, hereinafter
referred to as “confidential information” that he or she would not have gained knowledge
about, but for his or her participation on the
discipline committee.
Each
discipline committee member acknowledges and agrees to that
both during and after his or her participation on the
discipline committee he or she will not disclose, directly
or indirectly, any confidential information to any third party or use the confidential
information for his or her own benefit, except in the proper course of performing
his or her duties as a member of the
discipline committee.
This undertaking does not prohibit the
discipline committee member from using his or her education,
skills and general knowledge as long as he or she does not disclose confidential
information. This undertaking shall not impair the right of the
discipline committee member to use or disclose information
that is or becomes generally known to the public other than through a breach of
this undertaking. Disclosure shall also be permitted if required by law.
