In the 2001 year the Certified General Accountants of Ontario began its gratifying partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC) and its Ontario member agencies. Partnering includes the Certified General Accountants of Ontario funding travel subsidies granted to member agencies of BBBSC to attend the Ontario Regional Workshop for training and education purposes. Additionally, the Certified General Accountants of Ontario provides $1,000 matching grants to each of its 18 chapters that dedicate fundraising support to a BBBSC Ontario member agency.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada is the charity of choice for the Certified General Accountants of Ontario because one association goal is to give back to our communities with expertise and time. The mission and goals of BBBSC align with the desire of certified general accountants to dedicate resources towards a brighter future for every child in Ontario. Together we work to give young people:
  • a healthy start
  • relationships with adults who care
  • a safe places to learn and grow
  • the tools to succeed; and
  • a chance to make a difference.
